First Annual RMD Cup (Fluxx, F6ix, Side bar, Ciros) — San Diego, CA

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

RMD had their first annual RMD Cup! What is the RMD Cup? It’s all of RMD’s venues — Fluxx, F6ix, Side Bar, and Ciros (Gaslamp and PB) all competing against each other.

Each Venue came up with a theme, and dressed to it.

And what were they competing at? There was tug-o-war, water balloons toss, planks, paper plates, volley ball, and a giant inflatable obstacle course!

Being an F6ix employee, I have more pictures of F6ix than the other venues. Sorry Fluxx, Side Bar and Ciros. I have to represent!

F6ix’s theme was Nerdwatch (Baywatch with a twist of nerd)

What’s a corporate event without the alcohol?

Photo with a real lifeguard and truck.

Side Bar came as border patrol and illegal immigrants. It was pretty creative.

Ciros

I just like this picture. He totally wasn’t posing. They were in deep conversation! :p

Time for the games!

Tug-o-war!

I love how Mikey G is encouraging the guys!

Planks.

Strategizing for water balloon toss.

Ok, so the balloons popping make more of an interesting photo then actually catching them without them popping.

Volley Ball

Paper Plates

Obstacle course

Not part of the competition, but there was some flip cup happening.

The winners, Side Bar.

The prizes for the raffle.

There was a tv, mountain bike, snow boards, poker table with chips, grills, and lots of other goodies! I won the mountain bike! That was what I really wanted and was hoping to win! :D

That’s it for the pictures on my blog! I will have my facebook page with the rest of the photos so people can tag themselves!

North Grove Guy Fleming Trail — Torrey Pines State Reserve — San Diego, CA

Monday, August 22nd, 2011

What’s the point of living in a beautiful city like San Diego if you don’t enjoy it?

Today I went on a small hike in Torrey Pines. I had never been before, so I wanted to check it out.

I went with my cousin Sam this morning, and we only had about an hour and a half, so we just took the first trail. The trail was pretty short, only 2/3 of a mile.

I took a picture of my cousin. Shhhh… Don’t tell him!

It was very calm and peaceful just staring out into the ocean.

It was a cloudy morning, so everything is a little bit hazy.

Look at those cliffs!

Back down to the beach.

I want to check out the other trails soon!

At the park with Stone– San Diego, Ca

Saturday, August 20th, 2011

What’s a good thing about going to the park with your friend that has a kid? You’re not some creepy person with a camera trying to take photos!

Stone on the swings.

Trying to climb up some crazy stairs.

Ok, I ended up being a little bit creepy and took a photo of some random little girl. But it was cute! She was playing by herself under the slide, in the shade with sand!

‘Til next time!

Finding the perfect camera bag

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

So I have been in search for the perfect camera bag. I love ones with shoulder straps because I can just sling it around me instead of having to hold it by the handles and worrying about how I’m going to use my camera at the same time.

Currently, I own a Crumpler. To be exact, I own the 5 Million Dollar Home.

Mine is grey and red on the outside, and then green on the inside.

It’s a great travel bag. It fits perfectly into my suitcase, taking up about half of it. It has dividers to you can make room inside however you want. However, I could do less with the boxy-ness of it and it actually looking like a camera bag.

So, I’ve been looking into other bags that don’t obviously look like camera bags and aren’t soo boxy.

Here are a couple that I found that I want to share with you.

I recently found this one from Jo Totes and I fell in love!

It looks like a normal bag, and it’s not bulky. Jo Totes also has some other beauty’s but the one above is my favorite. It would be a nice bag to use for day to day things.

I’ve also been interested in the ShootSac

I love how this one just forms to your body and you can just use that while you’re shooting. However, it’s definitely not a travel bag. I would need to put my equipment in a different bag while traveling and then bring this along for shoots.

Dre Hartman has a cute canvas bag.

Kelly Moore bags look nice as well. But more for a little bit of a glamourous night out.

Ketti offers a little bit more of a bohemian look.

This one is not necessarily my style but it looks like a normal purse!

Cheeky Lime has some cute camera bags. They’re a little boxy for my taste, but it’s still cute!

I think my next purchase will be the Jo Totes bag. I really fell in love with it when I saw it online.

I hope that this helps you a bit with you’re search for a camera bag :)
