Del Mar Fair 2011 aka San Diego County Fair aka SD Fair

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

Us OG San Diegan’s call it the Del Mar Fair still. But now its called the San Diego County Fair or the SD Fair.

What’s so good about the fair? Well, when I was little it was about the rides and the games and the animals. And perhaps, even getting your art displayed at one of the shows. As you get older, you realize what it’s all about…. the FOOD!

The fried section

The fried Kool-Aid was the need thing for this year. We tried it. And we regretted it.

Deep fried butter anyone?

I didn’t try it. I don’t want to get a heart attack at this young age :p

Saw this and I didn’t want to get it, but it reminded me of my brother in law who loves bacon and anything with bacon.

Yum, fries

Chili cheese fries to be exact.

What a creeper!

Yumm, Corn.

So I wasn’t planning on getting any, but after watching these 2 season their corns, I had to get one.

So the theme of the day was to try to get pictures of people eating. I only had my wide angle lens and not a zoom, so it’ wasn’t an easy task.

The rides

The games.

And an end note, I thought this was cute.

Maybe I’ll go to the fair again before it ends and try some more foods.

Happy 1st Birthday to Addisyn.

I don’t know if you remember, but 1 year ago, I did Leslie’s maternity shoot, and Addisyn’s new born shoot.

Here are some photos from her birthday party!

Playing with bubbles

Her older sister Alyssa trying to eat bubbles.

Alyssa getting her face painted by one of her aunts.

Changed into a tradition korean garment – a Han Bok

Table of things to chose from.

Getting ready to pick

She chose..

The pencil! She’s going to study hard when she grows up.

Getting ready for some cake!

yeah, she wasn’t a fan.

Let’s try it with a spoon.

Let’s just dig in!

And the aftermath

She definitely had some fun ;p

Here’s another little one eating a pizza.

And we’re off to the playground!

She told me she was a unicorn.

Everyone loves swings.

She’s leaving the playground to go open presents. Walking with her uncle Steven.

So hard..

Now it’s time for presents!

Onlookers

One of her presents from her parents.

Move out of the way!

Yes, please cater to my every needs, including hunger.

Yeah, this is how I roll!

Cute little glasses inside the kids goodie bags

Steven and Rachael writing a happy birthday message on Addisyn’s birthday bear.

And, that’s it!

Central Park — New York

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

I left New York about a week or two ago. But I still have one more post!

The last full day, not only did I take photos of Baby Jacob (previous post) but in the morning I went to Central Park! I went with my sister, brother-in-law, and of course, the dogs.

I always feel bad when people hang out with me, because I lagg. I always stop and take pictures.

Some random kids playing with the mound of dirt.

Snuffles.

I wish I went out and took more photos, but there’s always more opportunities to go to New York! :)

Welcome into the world Jacob — New York

Friday, June 3rd, 2011

So I love when I go on a trip and someone I know has a baby! Because what does that mean?? Babies first photo shoot!

Welcome into the world Jacob!

I took these photos a week after he was born.

And during the first half of the session, he was not having it.

After he got fed, he was a little bit more accepting of getting his photo taken. But he still refused to open his eyes for me.

I love it when babies wrinkle! ;p

Hello little tiny feet!

And you know the next time I go to New York, I’m going to be taking more photos of this cute little one :)
